Work History: Hank has worked for IWR Therapy Systems since September, 2004. Prior to that, he worked at Encore Rehabilitation and Springhill Medical Center Rehabilitation, both in Mobile and at Innovative Therapies, Inc. in Poplarville, MS. He also worked as a teacher and coach at Mary G. Montgomery High School in Semmes, AL.

Personal: Hank has one daughter and one son. He enjoys hunting and fishing. He is a former collegiate baseball pitcher and high school baseball and football coach.


Karen K Washichek, MPT


Physical Therapist, Brookley

Education: Master of Physical Therapy from University of South Alabama in 2005, Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Auburn University in 2003.

Work History: Karen joined IWR in February of 2016. Prior to then, she worked for Infirmary Health Systems in Mobile, AL. Over a course of 10 years, she has practiced in several settings: acute care, long and short term rehab, inpatient rehab and outpatient. Her favorite setting to practice in was outpatient where she was able to treat runners' injuries.

Personal: Karen was born and raised in the Mobile area. She is married with one little girl. During time off from work, she enjoys exercising, eating and spending time with her family.


Matt Hassell, OTR/L


Occupational Therapist

Education: Master of Occupational Therapy, University of South Alabama. Master of Business Administration, Auburn University. Bachelor of Arts, Auburn University

Work History: Matt Joined IWR Therapy Systems in September of 2014. Prior to that he worked at Infirmary Health System for four years. Matt’s specialty is rehabilitation of surgical and non-surgical orthopedic injuries and dysfunctions the upper extremities, specifically injuries to the hand and elbow.

Personal: Matt is married and has one daughter. Matt is from Mobile and enjoys golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family.


Linda Lowe, LPTA


Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Education: Associate Degree in Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant, Bishop State Community College, 2000

Work History: Linda began working for IWR Therapy Systems in January, 2005. Prior to that, she worked at HealthSouth Rehabilitation for five years.

Personal: Linda is married and has five children. Second to caring for her family, she enjoys caring for her patients. She loves the field she has chosen and does all she can to insure the best care and rehabilitation.


David Dimmick, MS

Work History: After graduating from the University of South Alabama, David began working for IWR Therapy Systems in April of 1991.

Personal: David has lived in Mobile since 1987. He is married to Dawn Dimmick and has a son, Matthew David. David enjoys hunting, fishing and running.


Bethany Brenes, LPTA


Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Education: Associates of Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Bishop State 2009 Bachelors of Art in English, Art, and Psychology, University of South Alabama 2010 Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in health, University of South Alabama, 2014.

Work History: After graduating in 2009, Bethany began working in physical therapy pediatrics and in hippotherapy on horseback. Bethany worked for Pediatric Physical Therapy, Restore, and United Cerebral Palsy before coming to work at IWR in April 2011.

Personal: Bethany is originally from Texas and now lives in Mobile with her husband. She enjoys running and working on home projects.


Stacy Walsh, PTA


Physical Therapist Assistant

Education: Associates of Science in Physical Therapy Assistant, Bishop State 2010

Work History: After graduating in 2010, Stacy began working in acute care at USA Medical Center. Stacy has also had the opportunity to expand her experience in various different settings while working PRN at Mobile Infirmary, Alabama Orthopedic Clinic, Cogburn Nursing and Rehab, Pediatric Physical Therapy, etc.

Personal: Stacy was born and raised in Mobile. She enjoys reading, gardening, and fishing with her husband.


Victoria LaPointe, LPTA


Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Education: Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant, Bishop State 2014

Work History: Victoria first discovered her passion for physical therapy when she began working at IWR as a therapy aide in April of 2011. Since then, Victoria has graduated from Bishop State’s PTA program and returned to the IWR family to begin her career as a licensed physical therapy assistant.

Personal: Victoria moved to Mobile in 2010 when she married her husband Hunter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, kayaking, exercising and traveling.
